a start

it's time for a change. a new name. a new place. and new things to share. and a new resolve to love on my far-away family through this blog by sharing our lives with you.

we are still reeling from the myriad of changes life has brought us. a quick list ....

1. no more school. he's done. finished. and we all couldn't be happier to be done with school forever. okay...maybe we're all not done forever. someday i really want to go back. & henry is going to enter kinder someday far, far into the future. c's graduation was a wonderful celebration of a major accomplishment-- h & i are so proud of him.

2. we are home in wi -- FULL TIME. no more living in 2 places. no more packing up the fridge every weekend. no more forcing a toddler to do 6 hrs in the car every week. it's wonderful. we love being back near family & in our home.

3. we have officially entered the world of bows, frills, and girly wonder. and we're loving every minute of it. i will never get over how beautiful she is to me. our little merian is casey's kindred spirit. henry & i simply can't understand how they can sit & communicate with each other FOREVER without words. they just stare at each other all of the time.

i'm enjoying not being the only female in the house. and henry's enjoying having a sibling. a sister at that-- exactly what he had hoped for! he loves to just sit by her and comment on her cuteness. it feels so good to give our very social son the best gift ever...someone to play with & talk to.

4. our focus has changed. though we dearly love our church family at terrace shores and will continue to be a part of them, we are now focusing on berlin as the new church site had its official launch this weekend. it's so great and humbling to be a part of God's work there we're working with a great group of people that we love. may God work through River Shores.

5. anyone need a home in markesan? yes, we are selling. we are sad to leave and not be down the street from grandpa & grandma zach-- but we need to get to berlin. we want to be a part of that community & start to put our roots down there with our church. we're praying we can sell. until then we will gladly make the commute.

6. MOPS is coming to town. i can't wait. we start this week. moms are excited. may God do great things!

7. i have psuedo-bangs. i refuse to post a pic until i go back and get the real bangs i was going for.

8. i like deals. no, i love deals. and i'm going to blog about them like crazy on here. so give me your deals, especially the local ones. because i'll share them. don't think i won't.

9. i stink at taking the time to take pics. and i want to get better. so this is on my list as a commitment between me & you.

10. that was harder than i anticipated...but i finally made it to 10. phew.

now...i just need how to figure out how to post pics on this new site. this will get better. i promise. thanks for being gracious and allowing me this simple intro. for now, i'm done & off to sleep. good night.
