...and with how far behind i am, it's going to take awhile.  bear with me, we're going to divide this into several posts, so i can make it to the end!

here's a pic my mom took on nov. 24th, the day our baby arrived.  the first and only picture i've had taken of me while i'm in labor.  don't i look delighted to be in a photo shoot?  more of a grimace than a smile...

later that evening we had the privilege of meeting our beautiful new family member, emmett casey getz.

isn't that a proud grandpa?  i love that pic.  kara & jon even made it to the delivery room to meet the baby.  thanks, josiah!

 

we were beyond surprised to have a light-skinned, blonde baby.  he's a darling baby.  we are so thankful that the delivery went well & that our sweet emmett is healthy.  since then, he's grown a ton!  more to come...
