flock of chickens

halloween at our house. my husband is such an amazing man for dressing up as well. you can't see it in the pic because it's resting on his head, but he had the creepiest chicken head. no one noticed his freaky chicken face because he spent most of the night walking around holding the world's cutest little chicken.

henry loved being a chicken as well. he does an amazing chicken impression & makes quite a cute chicken.

after trick-or-treating we went to a halloween bash that the hospital did for its employees, complete with dj. our conversation on the way went something like this...

moi: when you come to a dance dressed like a chicken, you are just asking to lead the chicken dance. you know you'll be doing that tonight, right?
chicken husband: really?!?
moi: of course, silly.
chicken husband: how do i do the chicken dance??
moi: *gasp*.....are you serious? (flaps hands, then arms, etc.)

and when the dj called upon him, he did a fabulous job. the dj then had the giant chicken stand in the middle as we all did the hokey pokey around him. the next song was shake a tailfeather. it was so great! casey at a dance is something you don't see every day. but casey as the main chicken attraction at a dance was definitely awesome. i shouldn't say casey was the main chicken-- because it was merian who took the prize for the family. she won for cutest kids costume. who could help but kiss her pudgy cheeks as she flapped her little chicken wings all night?
