yesterday was our first snow & henry couldn't have been any happier. he bounced around the house exclaiming, "Christmas is here!" it was quite a sight! be ready for a bunch of pics in this post...i'll post the highlights from our photo shoot awhile ago.
i'm a huge fan of naked baby pics. henry was troubled by it. even when he sees these pics now he says, "but she's naked!!!" i'm glad that even though one of my son's favorite pastimes is streaking through our home naked, he at least kinda gets the modesty thing.
okay, the latest on us....merian talks. anything from "dadadada" to "yaya" to "baba". started two days ago and she's a pro. she also rolls over, inches around the floor, and has taken a huge liking to baby food. henry's LOVING this Christmas season. he performed in his first Christmas program at church last sunday. he stayed up there...but he definitely found unique ways to entertain himself. the funniest sight was when he got really bored, dropped his head between his knees, and tumbled off the risers. crazy kid. i helped him back up but he didn't seem to mind...he just thought it was funny.
one more update...our offer on a home in berlin was accepted today, so in mid-january we will be the official owners of a home on 315 oak st. we are floored by this huge blessing. it's much nicer than any home we thought we'd be buying up there-- but we're able to do this because of it being a foreclosure that needs a lot of work inside. this home has the space we've been searching for....a great backyard and tons of room in the house. so our project this new year will be remodeling and getting our home ready to move into by the spring. it will be challenging-- but we're so excited about this home that we're willing to roll up our sleeves and get to work.
