christmas was so much fun this year. henry & i tried our hand at making a gingerbread house (from a kit... this mom does not have the time to make one from scratch.)
merian learned how to sit up. and over the holidays went on to rolling...and just today started crawling. i know. life around this house has now changed forever. i reminded henry of that today as merian quickly did her unique crawl (which involves pushing her face across the floor) in an attempt to get to henry's camera before he did. crawling footage is on its way soon!

we came home to wi and had some time to celebrate as a family...
on christmas day we went to the zach fam christmas. merian loves her uncle josiah!
in january we officially purchased a home in berlin. SO exciting! it's going to involve a lot of work, but will be well worth it in the end. our first big demolition/cleaning day is this next saturday...i can't wait to get to work on it! (for some of my frugal house tips, click here!)
kara & jon came from seattle & we all met up in rochester to hang out in early jan. good times! and then we came back to markesan & got some more kj time in.

i got lazy about pulling out my camera... from the minute that henry received his own digital camera as a christmas gift from his seattle aunt & uncle. within 24 hrs, henry had already taken over 100 pics. needless to say, henry's got a sizable post of his own coming up on his blog soon! i'll leave you with merian's first bite of a real banana....
